TIG Welder

Joins together steel parts and may do some sheet metal assembly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Structural frame assembly
- Ability to read and interpret documents, blueprints, drawings and procedures
- Follow engineered drawing specifications
- Understand different steel pipe sizes
- Must be TIG certified
- Use of square
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to operate TIG / MIG welder
- Basic fabrication skills
- Understanding of 6S
- Basic math skills
- Understanding of measurements
- Basic reading/writing skills
- Understanding of weld‑specific tools
- Understanding of steel types and gauges
- Ability to troubleshoot minor sheet metal equipment issues
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- AWS certification required
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic and compute rates, ratios, and percentages; ability to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume; apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
