Position: Executive Director for a non-profit

Summary

The Community Resource Network (CRN) Board is interviewing qualified candidates for an Executive Director role. After over 20 years, the full‑time Director is retiring, and we are searching for an outgoing, organized Executive Director for a full‑time position. This community‑oriented position offers a dynamic opportunity to make a difference in Rockdale County. CRN provides essential support and resources to individuals in need through various organizations.

Resources may include mental health and social services, housing assistance, food pantries and support, arts and cultural events, the local library, and educational institutions. The network is a hub for community support, resources, and connection. The organization holds a monthly non‑profit network luncheon each month.

CRN is dedicated to connecting community resources, fostering partnerships, and improving access to services that strengthen families, individuals, and local organizations. We collaborate with local agencies, businesses, schools, and government entities to ensure a coordinated approach to community support.

Duties
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, goals, and initiatives for the Community Resource Network.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, local government, nonprofits, businesses, and other stakeholders.
  • Oversee daily operations, program development, and budget oversight.
  • Lead fundraising, grant writing, and resource development efforts to sustain and expand programs.
  • Represent the organization publicly, serving as the primary spokesperson and advocate for the network.
  • Ensure program effectiveness through evaluation, data analysis, and reporting to funders and the board of directors.
  • Facilitate collaboration among partner organizations to maximize resources and reduce duplication of services.
  • Identify emerging community needs and develop initiatives to address gaps in services.
  • Manage board relations, including preparation for meetings, reports, and strategic discussions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, social work, or related field would be helpful but is not required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in nonprofit management, community development, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success in building partnerships, leading staff, and managing budgets.
  • Proven experience in fundraising, grant writing, and resource development.
  • Strong knowledge of community resources, social services, and local/regional nonprofit landscape.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; comfortable with public speaking and advocacy.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to lead organizational growth and manage multiple priorities.
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and community engagement principles.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of stakeholders, including government, business, and community partners.
Nice To Haves
  • Experience in coalition-building or managing multi‑agency networks.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal funding programs for nonprofits.
  • Experience with data‑driven program evaluation and reporting outcomes to funders.
