Overview Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24‑hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. Responsibilities The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or provider to patients from birth through the life cycle utilizing the nursing process in accordance with Piedmont Healthcare's Mission and Vision Statements.
The LPN functions within the framework of their license and the policy and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The LPN guides ancillary staff, collaborates with other health care professionals in the provision of quality nursing care, and blends compassion, caring and technologically appropriate competency resulting in holistic care to the patient. Qualifications
Education
- Graduate of an LPN program (Required)
- New graduates of an accredited nursing school are eligible (Preferred)
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred
- LPN – State Licensure Required
- BCLS – Basic Life Support Required
- Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty area applying for Preferred
- ACLS if working in Emergency Department – Required
- PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support if working in Emergency Department within 180 Days – Required
- LPNs new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 180 Days
