Nursing Admin Supervisor, Nights

Overview

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24‑hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.

• Promoting and maintaining quality patient care that promotes safety and well‑being of all patients throughout the organization on assigned shift.
• Plans, directs, and coordinates with Admissions and Bed Control to facilitate flow, providing optimum service to all Piedmont customers.
• Monitors bed availability and implements surge capacity measures as needed.
• Supervises nursing staff and coordinates staffing on a shift‑to‑shift basis.
• Designated on‑site hospital administrator after normal business hours.
• Assesses all requests for administrator‑on‑call contact during shift.
• Responsible for all activities within the hospital in the absence of Administration and/or department directors.
• Works under the direction of the Administrator on‑call to determine activation of the disaster plan and coordinates related activities.
• Rounds and maintains open communication with all staff.
• This position requires a sound knowledge of nursing practice and exceptional leadership abilities.

• Graduate from a nursing program – Required
• Bachelors Degree /Masters degree in Nursing – Preferred

• 3 years of nursing experience in a hospital setting – Required
• Demonstrated clinical competency – Required

• RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure – Required
• BCLS – Basic Life Support – Required
• ACLS – Preferred
• PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support – Preferred
• NRP – Neonatal Resuscitation – Preferred
