Registered Nurse
The registered nurse will work in the Emergency Room. Diagnoses include hypertension, diabetes, congestive heart failure, end-stage renal disease, coronary artery disease, abdominal pain, STEMI/NSTEMI, pulmonary embolism, COPD, and behavioral health issues. The nurse will be responsible for caring for patients across various age groups, including neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily patient census averages 150 with a mix of patients.
The nurse may float within the facility as needed and is expected to comply with all regulations fully. Weekend shifts are required every other weekend. If one major holiday falls during the assignment, the traveler is expected to work it. The same applies if two major holidays fall during the assignment period, though two of the three holidays may be negotiated.
Compliance with core onboarding items/labs is required within strict timelines to ensure timely start. Full compliance is essential for the nurse to start on time; non-compliance may result in a delay. The emergency department provides interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, and radiology. No call is required for this position or floating outside the scope of practice. Candidates should have experience in managing violent behavior and procedural sedation administration/monitoring.
The ability to interpret dysrhythmias is crucial for this role.
