Job Title:Quality Technician I
Location:Conyers, GA
SummaryThe QA technician routinely performs assignments in support of Dover Food Retail’s Quality System requirements through all phases of design and manufacture to ensure compliance with blueprint and/or documented process of control requirements.
What You’ll Be Responsible For In This Role- Conduct audits or inspections of product following specifications, checklists, or process control instructions at various stages of process flow, including Incoming Quality Assurance (IQA), In-Process Validation (Inspection), and Final Walk (FW).
- Maintain accurate records of inspection results and non-conformities in defined quality systems.
- Collaborate with Engineers to resolve quality issues and discrepancies.
- Communicate findings to Engineers and quality assurance teams.
- Assist in the development of inspection criteria and methodologies.
- Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Maintain inspection equipment per instructions to ensure accuracy.
- Other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in quality control or quality assurance in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques such as calipers and micrometers
- Knowledge of industry standards and quality assurance principles
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with teams and suppliers
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Basic understanding of quality control processes and standards
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Certification in Quality or related fields
- Associate degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or data analysis software
- Proficiency in using quality management software
- Experience with statistical process control and quality improvement methodologies
