Staff Accountant (Future Controller Track) Location:
Conyers, GA | Reports to: Controller
Are you a meticulous accounting professional ready to bridge the gap between financial reporting and strategic leadership? We are looking for a Staff Accountant who isn’t just looking for a job, but a career path. This role is specifically designed as a leadership pipeline, serving as the primary training ground for our future Assistant Controller and Controller. You will do more than just "crunch numbers"—you will be a key facilitator of special projects, a driver of profit improvement, and a vital partner in our facility’s operational success.

- Strategic Growth:
Participate in Profit Improvement Teams (PIP) to identify efficiencies and drive the bottom line. - Financial Stewardship:
Own the month-end close process for inventories, distribution costs, and rebates, ensuring total accuracy and transparency. - Operational Excellence:
Lead the cycle count program and manage roll stock transactions, becoming the subject matter expert for our Conyers facility. - Executive Visibility:
Create and deliver ad-hoc presentations and reports that inform high-level decision-making. - Process Innovation:
Identify gaps in current procedures and build best-in-class workflows to improve departmental KPIs.
- Reporting & Analysis:
Manage weekly estimates for distribution, rebates, and raw materials. - Inventory Management:
Oversee FG, WIP, and Roll Stock inventories, including aged inventory reporting and reconciliations. - Leadership Backup:
Cross-train to provide vital backup for the Controller and Assistant Controller, gaining a 360-degree view of the business. - Compliance:
Maintain a high standard of business ethics and safety in alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Experienced:
You have 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within a manufacturing environment. - Analytical:
You possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills; you don't just see the data, you see the story behind it. - Organized:
You are detail-oriented and highly organized, with a proven ability to prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines. - A Strong Communicator:

- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (or equivalent professional experience). - Software:
High proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, complex formulas, and light macros). Experience with SAP is highly preferred. - Efficiency:
Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM and manage digital communication (Outlook) effectively. - Safety & Presence:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring safety gear (glasses, ear protection, and steel-toed shoes) and flexibility for occasional short-notice overtime or weekend work. - Soft Skills:
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, autonomous environment and can juggle multiple high-priority projects with ease.
