Reports to:
Branch Manager
The Sales Representative will be assigned to a specific sales territory, maintain current customer accounts, and develop new accounts. The role includes representing SWY Crane & Rigging and affiliated companies to obtain orders for commercial construction crane and rigging services, developing and penetrating new clients to establish long‑term relationships.

Qualifications- High School diploma or GED required.
- College or technical school degree preferred, and/or relevant years of experience in lieu of degree.
- 3‑7 years of commercial construction sales preferred.
- 3‑7 years of crane operations and proper rigging techniques preferred.
- Ability to determine appropriate crane for a task, prepare quotes and coordinate with the dispatch office.
- Perform all responsibilities in a safe, legal, professional, and ethical manner.
- Attain assigned territory sales objectives through management, planning, and development.
- Establish a client base supporting a $2+ million per year revenue stream.
- Conduct personal and telephone sales solicitation in assigned territory.
- Prepare quotes and coordinate with the Dispatch office.
- Read, interpret, and determine that an assigned crane can perform the lift using manufacturer load charts.
- Verbally communicate safety issues to customers and internal workers.
- Perform administrative reporting.
- Comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present quotes and close sales.
- Meet deadlines and prioritize workload without direct supervision.
- Handle rejection and remain resilient.
- Assign exclusive account management to select customers, establishing account strategies and maintaining relationships.
- Other responsibilities as required.
- Non‑smoking environment at times.
- Exposure to outside weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow, ice).
- Irregular working hours and standby hours may be required.
- Exposure to mechanical, electrical, explosive, fumes/odors, dust, chemical, or toxic waste hazards.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required in designated areas.
- Out‑of‑town overnight stay required when job tasks require it.
- Punctuality and availability for job duties.
- Good customer relation skills; ability to communicate with external and internal customers.
- Cooperate with others in team environment for training and conference on operational issues.
- Submit reports and paperwork regularly and timely.
- Maintain an insurable driving record for use of company vehicles and other licenses required for job walks.
- Experience in sales with a track record of performance.
- Experience in the operated crane industry.
- Experience in marketing strategies and trend analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Overnight travel required.
