Developmental Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC Maintenance

Position Summary

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting Developmental Technicians specializing in Refrigeration and HVAC Maintenance. • Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills and hand or power tools.
• Use the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders, support Stores and Store associates, and document repair activities.
• Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely.

• 18 years or older and High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time, move up and down ladders frequently, work at heights, and handle various temperatures while sitting or standing for prolonged periods.
• Hold a valid, state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• Type I and Type II Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.

• Experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

Hourly wage range: $16.00 – $28.00. Premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
