Electrical & Instrumentation Technician - Rotating Shift

Overview

We have an immediate opening for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in Conyers, GA.

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of plant equipment.
• Read technical manuals and efficiently operate motorized equipment.
• Apply safety protocols and maintain compliance with plant policies.
• Troubleshoot variable speed drives, perform logic changes, hardware maintenance, and support ongoing drive system upgrades.
• System maintenance and troubleshooting of PLCs, including program and logic changes, hardware and software upgrades, and system backups.
• Troubleshoot and maintain valves; thorough knowledge of pressure, flow, and temperature applications is required; control valves are a plus.
• Perform capital project support on the Electrical and Controls side.
• Support maintenance by working with the maintenance department on engineering issues; participate in on‑call rotations and be willing to reach the location within an hour when on call.
• Troubleshoot and perform system maintenance and upgrades of DCS systems.
• Spare parts inventory management.

• Minimum 2-5 years' experience in Electrical & Instrumentation support of industrial equipment.
• Troubleshooting experience across a variety of plant equipment; including motors and valves.
• Experience with troubleshooting motors and valves; PLC programming experience is a plus (modifications only, no programming from scratch needed). Controllogix is used but any software is acceptable.
• Good computer skills (Excel or similar) are a plus.
• Electrical experience in an industrial setting, including valves, mortars, instrumentation, 480 Volt, and 4160 Volt motors.
