Position Description

Ryder is hiring a Storeroom Attendant / Forklift Operator in Conyers, GA— offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career you can feel good about.

• Hourly Pay $17.39 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm

Various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles at Ryder support distribution across the US.

Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification; motor vehicle records check, and a road test; and/or badging or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
• Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
• Must have a clean driving record and a personal vehicle; travel within the area approx. 25-50% of the day
• High technical aptitude (using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, scanners, and entering orders into a WMS System)
• Possess a valid Driver's License and meet Ryder's driving qualifications
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted; also lift/push/pull up to 35 lbs
• Must be able to work both indoors and outdoors; stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work flexible schedule on various shifts
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to work with diverse teams
• Highly thorough and dependable; punctual and good attendance record
• Ability to maintain professional relationships at all levels; demonstrate high level of accuracy, even under pressure
• Minimal supervision; high initiative
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices

• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
• Responsible for accurate picking, packing, auditing, tote induction, staging of products, and loading/unloading trucks
• Handle day-to-day paperwork such as picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
• Provide technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during core shift hour of production
• Perform duties within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
• Perform other duties as assigned
