Position: FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT(FULL TIME)

Job Summary

Responsible for clerical functions and administrative support of food service programs.

1000 N. Dixie Ave., Cookeville, TN 38505 (Tennessee Tech University)

Schedule:

Full time;
Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

Pay Range: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Finance Manager with day-to-day financial, payroll, and administrative tasks.
  • Count, record, and prepare miscellaneous deposits & contributions collected.
  • Assist with data entry, invoice processing, and account reconciliations.
  • Answer telephones and direct inquiries in a professional and client‑centric manner.
  • Maintain confidential personnel files.
  • Assist management staff in preparing confidential employment and labor relations documents.
  • Assist with staffing, including finding staff when employees call out on short notice.
  • Work effectively and maintain good working relationships with co-workers, school personnel, administrators, and student parents.
  • Complete and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of students eligible for free and reduced priced lunches.
  • Enter weekly cash sales and meal counts using a computer.
  • Perform daily bank deposit reconciliation.
  • Process vendor invoices for payment, ensuring accurate calculations and price verification.
  • Perform monthly vendor statement reconciliation.
  • Prepare monthly state claim form for reimbursement.
  • Assist in preparation of end‑of‑month financial reports.
  • Attend in‑service and/or safety meetings as required.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Excel experience is required.
