Role Overview
Beacon Legacy Group is seeking a versatile and driven attorney to handle a dynamic caseload involving both contested and uncontested matters. We are looking for a professional who is equally comfortable arguing a motion in open court as they are navigating the technical complexities of estate administration. You will be the primary advocate for our clients in probate, guardian ships, and real estate disputes, ensuring that their legacies are protected through both proactive planning and aggressive litigation.
Key Responsibilities- Litigation & Advocacy:
Act as lead counsel in contested matters, including Will contests, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and contested guardian ships or conservatorships. - Property Disputes:
Manage real estate litigation such as partition suits, quiet title actions, and boundary disputes. - Estate Administration:
Oversee the uncontested probate process, including the preparation of pleadings, inventories, and final accountings. - Client Counsel:
Advise personal representatives, trustees, and families on their legal obligations and rights during the administration of an estate. - Full Case Management:
Lead cases through the entire lifecycle, from initial filing and discovery (depositions, subpoenas, motions) to mediation and trial.
- A "Courtroom-Ready" Professional:
You have a strong litigation background and are confident representing clients in hearings and bench trials. - Detailed Practitioner:
You possess the patience and precision required for the procedural requirements of Tennessee probate law. - Balanced Approach:
You can pivot easily between the high-conflict environment of litigation and the steady, service-oriented nature of estate administration. - Strategic Thinker:
You look at property and estate disputes through the lens of long-term legacy protection.
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active membership in the Tennessee Bar.
- Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, specifically within the realms of probate, property, or family law.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills, with the ability to draft persuasive motions and precise legal documents.
- Strong interpersonal skills to manage sensitive family dynamics and complex client relationships.
