Sam's Club – Food Service Associate

Location: 1177 Sams St, Cookeville, TN 38506‑4007.

• Be a Team Member
  :
  Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product specifications for prepared food merchandise, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, educate associates on tools and resources, communicate effectively with team members, and adapt to business needs across other areas.
• Be an Expert
  :
  Prepare food according to item specifications, plan future productions and mass production, accommodate seasonality, adhere to food safety standards, sanitation guidelines, cold‑chain compliance, inventory management, operate and sanitize equipment, and demonstrate product and layout execution.
• Be a Techie
  :
  Leverage digital tools to drive sales, enhance the shopping experience, and increase associate engagement; use handheld technology for real‑time decisions related to production, ordering, club pick‑up, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to adopt them.
• Be an Owner
  :
  Drive performance of the area, stock and rotate merchandise, enforce quality and date‑control standards, eliminate waste, provide member service by acknowledging members and identifying needs, assist with purchasing decisions, payment methods, locate merchandise, and resolve member issues and concerns.
• Be a Talent Ambassador
  :
  Act as a brand advocate, inspire others to work respectfully, supportively, and team‑oriented; understand roadblocks and assist in training teammates.
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics standards by implementing action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in business processes.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change and feedback.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Successfully complete all required job trainings and assessments within the prescribed time if hired.

• Food Safety Certification.
• Food Service Food‑Handler Certification.

Hourly wage range: $17.00 to $25.00*.

* The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location.

Additional compensation may include premiums ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour, based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
