Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machine Setup Technician to join our team in Cookeville, TN. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce high-quality parts. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading, and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines (mills, lathes, multi-axis)
- Install tooling, fixturing, and work holding per job specifications
- Perform machining operations including milling, turning, drilling, tapping, and grinding
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job travelers
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Document setups, tool changes, and production adjustments
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes
Qualifications
- 2+ years of CNC setup experience (mills, lathes, or multi-axis)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with CNC programming and editing (G-code preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience using precision measuring tools
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with tight-tolerance machining
- Troubleshoot machine issues and resolve production problems quickly
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
