About The Role
Lead and support crews assembling, installing, and repairing underground pipe, fittings, valves, storm and sanitary sewers, drains, water mains, and related utility systems. Set up and use pipe lasers, levels, and transits to position pipe and fittings in trenches and maintain accurate line and grade. Read and interpret project plans, drawings, specifications, take-off quantities, and site conditions to support accurate field execution.
Measure, cut, install, backfill, and leak-test pipe systems using approved methods, materials, and safety practices. Coordinate with equipment operators using hand signals and clear job-site communication during excavation, placement, backfill, and lifting activities. Turn work requirements into a prioritized daily plan for the crew, follow project schedules, and help meet production goals. Check tools and equipment for proper working condition, maintain a clean and safe job site, and prepare reports as required.
Travel to project sites throughout Tennessee as work requires.

- Relevant hands-on field experience in heavy civil construction, underground pipe installation, and water/wastewater projects. Prior foreman, crew lead, or field leadership experience preferred. Strong knowledge of pipe laying for water mains, sanitary sewers, storm sewer, and related utility systems. Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, drawings, project schedules, site conditions, and verbal instructions. Ability to understand line and grade, shoot grade with a level, set up a pipe laser, and take accurate measurements.
General knowledge of heavy equipment operations, maintenance awareness, and safe coordination around active equipment. Experience working with poured-in-place concrete structures and heavy civil project environments.
