Career Team is looking to hire a Career Advisor who will provide career counseling, intensive case management, and follow‑up services under the supervision of the Career Services Manager.
Responsibilities- Provide intensive case management services to registered customers within the One‑Stop system.
- Complete intake and eligibility determination for the workforce program, assessing jobseekers’ employment and training needs through interviewing, testing, and other methods.
- Enter data into participant information systems and other required databases.
- Guide jobseekers through the preparation of individual employment plans (IEP) based on their occupational goals.
- Counsel clients on available job opportunities, training programs, and other services.
- Complete Individual Training Account (ITA) vouchers and other documents for clients entering training.
- Refer individuals to appropriate services, training programs or job opportunities and follow up on those activities.
- Conduct orientation sessions, workshops, job clubs and other group presentations for clients.
- Follow all policies, procedures and regulations related to eligibility documentation, ensuring case files contain required documentation.
- Maintain accurate individual case files for each registered customer, ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- Develop a comprehensive Individual Employment Plan (IEP) for all customers, providing referral and tracking of eligible customers into contracted programs.
- Meet and/or exceed program benchmarks and participate in all staff events such as training, staff meetings and individual supervision.
- Complete all required reports.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, behavioral science or a related field.
- Two years of experience in training, counseling, case management or related services.
- Substantial case management experience and ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
- Role‑model ability to motivate customers toward achieving goals.
- Computer literacy, including effective use of the internet, e‑mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to meet and/or exceed set goals and objectives.
- Excellent interpersonal, time‑management, customer‑service, organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
- Valid driver’s license.
Salary: $40,000 per year. Competitive benefits package including healthcare, dental, and personal/vacation time.
