Location:

About the Role:
We are recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join an established business providing power and generator solutions across a range of industries. You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel generators , working on both customer-owned equipment and rental fleet. The role involves regular customer interaction, site visits and working closely with the wider service team.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out planned servicing and maintenance of diesel generators. Diagnose faults and complete repairs on customer and rental equipment. Attend customer sites to resolve breakdowns and technical issues. Carry out site surveys when required. Participate in an on-call rota. Maintain high standards of health and safety. Complete work in line with relevant company procedures and quality standards. Keep company vehicles, tools and work areas clean and well maintained.
About You:
Relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting or Plant Maintenance, or a relevant apprenticeship . Proven experience servicing and repairing generator sets , ideally FG Wilson, Cummins or similar. Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills. Previous field service experience would be advantageous. Full UK driving licence. Good customer service and communication skills. Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
ECS, CSCS or CCNSG card would be advantageous but is not essential. Overtime:
Overtime is available, with enhanced rates including time and a half and double time , depending on the hours and days worked. Additional Information:
