Position Scope
A full-time accounts payable clerk in our accounting department. This person will assist with daily, weekly, and monthly accounts payable tasks, matching purchase orders with invoices, seeking approvals from appropriate personnel, and performing various other accounting and office administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Primary Duties- File A/P invoices and other documents.
- Code invoices for payment and enter invoices.
- Serve as support for other accounting department members.
- Process accounts payable invoices ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records in accordance with accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to accounts payable.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- 2–3 years experience in accounts payable.
- Experience with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with accounting software and systems (OnBase, CGC/ECMS) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of accounting principles related to accounts payable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with electronic payment processing is a plus.
