SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE
Responsible for learning the efficient, accurate and consistent processing of all raw materials needed for the quality production of personal care products manufactured to customer specifications.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- At the direction and tutelage of the Compo under Supervisor/Manager, learn to mix, compound, process, test, adjust, and modify ingredients to successfully carry out and complete the manufacturing process of the many personal care products produced.
- Continually communicate with the Compo under Trainer, Department Supervisor, and staff to ensure production of top-quality finished goods.
- Under supervision and direction of the Compo under Trainer check and review in‑process production to ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Assist in the maintenance and observation of proper handling and storage of materials needed for production.
- Ensure that all OSHA, Safety Regulations, Labor Laws, and other governmental statutes are followed and obeyed.
- Inspect production equipment regularly to safeguard company profits by maintaining equipment in good and safe working condition.
- Maintain consistent observance of GMP, SOP and Safety procedures.
- Attend all company training encompassing GMP, SOP, Safety, and cross training to expand employee capabilities.
- Set up equipment (e.g., pumps, circulation lines) as needed to manufacture products.
- Complete and verify manufacturing documentation.
- Use scales, flow meters and manual measurements to measure material quantities.
- Operate various lifts to move materials to and from racks.
- Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment, conduct basic repairs, and involve supervision and the maintenance department as needed.
- Follow written procedures from batch records, SOPs, and departmental procedures in the manufacturing of bulk products.
- Identify and communicate discrepancies with material, products or equipment with compounding management and staff to ensure manufacturing of top‑quality finished goods.
- Work with management, facilities, QC, and R&D in the resolution of discrepancies.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary handling of equipment and materials; keep a clean and professional personal appearance.
- Wear personal protective equipment as required.
- Perform work that is carefully and accurately documented to meet customer and FDA requirements; understand that sub‑standard compliance may result in significant liability to the company.
- Develop strict habits to minimize the possibility of error; work in an environment where accuracy is essential.
- Complete any additional duties as assigned and remain flexible to be trained in all work areas.
- High safety awareness.
- Qualified to use all lifts.
- Dependable with strong attention to detail.
- Work independently and as a team player.
- Mechanical aptitude to understand the use of pumps, homogenizers, Quadro, and other equipment used in the manufacturing of products.
- Good communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
- Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).

WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position functions on the compounding floor and therefore experiences characteristics commonly found in a liquid manufacturing setting, including:
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts; occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles.
- Moderate noise level.
- Exposure to chemicals requiring PPE.
- Hot, humid, and wet conditions.
- Must be able to lift 45 lbs.
- Flexible to be trained in all work areas.
- Full‑time position; base days and hours are Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per shift depending on shift assigned.
- Overtime notice will be communicated as far in advance as feasible; overtime may sometimes be announced less than one workday at a time.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE- High school graduate or GED equivalent required.
- Six (6) months to one (1) year related experience and/or training highly desirable.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
