SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE
Performs work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds as assigned by Facilities manager or designee.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSPerforms work required for the repair, maintenance, installation, and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds as assigned by Facilities manager or designee.
COMPETENCIES- Locates and determines electrical malfunctions using test equipment.
- Repairs malfunctions by such methods as replacing burned out elements, fuses, and replacing defective wiring, cleaning and repairing motors
- Tests electrical equipment, such as, motors, heaters, and controls for safety and efficiency, using standard test equipment and by observing functions
- Installs fixtures, wiring conduits, motors, and other electrical equipment
- Inspects circuits for specified shielding and grounding
- Knowledge of security and fire alarm systems
- Understands and follows company's GMP and Safety Policies
- Leads troubleshooting of complex electrical and control system issues, including PLC I/O, VFDs, HMIs, and industrial networks
- Supports design, layout, and modification of electrical panels, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Partners with Engineering and Maintenance leadership on CAPEX projects, equipment installs, and line upgrades
- Performs root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring electrical failures and drives corrective actions
- Acts as Electrical lead during equipment commissioning, FAT/SAT, and startup activities
- Ensures compliance with safety standards (LOTO, arc flash, grounding, intrinsically safe circuits)
- Interfaces with OEMs, integrators, and contractors to scope work and validate solutions
- Supports cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Quality, and EHS during troubleshooting and improvements
This position functions on the production floor and therefore, will experience characteristics commonly found in a manufacturing setting. Characteristics would include (but not limited to):
- frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORKThis is a full-time position. The base days and hours are Monday through Friday, eight (8) hours per day depending on shift assigned.
TRAVELGraduation from high school or possession of a GED certificate preferably including or supplemented by courses in electrical trade.
PREFERRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE LANGUAGE SKILLS- REASONING ABILITY Requires initiative and ingenuity to analyze a situation and to make frequent technical decisions based on specifications and electrical codes.
