Production Cost Accountant

Overview

ADAMS MULTIMEDIA — Community Stories Marketing Solutions. Position:
Production Cost Accountant. Support standardization across APG printing plants while developing cost-reduction and pricing strategies to maximize return on investment. Prepare internal budget reports and perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations. Investigate financial discrepancies, conduct audits, and ensure ongoing compliance with APG accounting standards.

• Analyze production and manufacturing costs to improve efficiency and compare standard vs. actual costs. Ensure accurate expense classification in compliance with GAAP.
• Review material and service costs for accuracy and pricing opportunities.
• Participate in inventory counts, evaluate inventory needs, and analyze quarterly cost allocations.
• Prepare cost projections to support regional decision-making.
• Travel to APG locations up to 10%.

• Bachelor s or master s degree in finance, commerce, or accounting.
• 3+ years of accounting experience; printing environment experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

• Ability to translate data and analysis into clear, actionable reports.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• Strong aptitude for data analysis, cost modeling, and cross-functional collaboration.
