American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a Labor & Delivery/Mother Baby Center position requiring 2 years of L&D and post-partum experience and an active MN RN license.
Requirements- Active or pending MN RN license accepted
- Current BLS and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Advanced, AWHONN Intermediate, and FHM certifications preferred
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience with post-partum experience required
- Sterile vaginal exam experience required
- Fetal monitoring skills required, including external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration, and recognition/treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience administering Pitocin (oxytocin) required
- Experience managing and administering epidural anesthesia required
- Pain management and nitrous oxide skills preferred
- Minimum 1 supervisor reference required
- Work in the Mother Baby Center, covering both Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum units of an acute care teaching hospital
- Average daily census of 8 deliveries per day and 15 post-partum patients per day
- 3x12 hour shifts available on Days ) or Nights )
- Required to work every other weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Will float within scope to meet facility needs, including within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
- Uses Epic (Excellian) EMR for charting
- Provide nursing care across both labor and post-partum patient populations
- Scrubs provided by the unit
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be considered
- Returning travelers must have been gone at least 3 months from their last shift worked as a Perm (Staff or Per Diem) employee
- RTO requests should ideally not exceed 5 days
