About the Role

As a Manufacturing Estimator, you will be responsible for managing the full RFQ and quoting process, delivering accurate and timely cost estimates that support customer needs, new product development, and overall business growth. You will analyze labor, materials, tooling, and manufacturing processes while collaborating closely with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to ensure quotations are precise, competitive, and aligned with manufacturing capabilities.

This role plays a key part in Lexington’s product development and pricing strategy, requiring strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to confidently manage deadlines in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
This is an on‑site position at our Coon Rapids, MN location.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and oversee the end‑to‑end quoting process
  • Lead quoting activities throughout the product development phase‑gate process
  • Prepare, maintain, and update accurate quotations while ensuring timely completion
  • Calculate production costs including labor, raw materials, tooling, and processing requirements
  • Perform time studies and process reviews to audit and validate manufacturing cost data
  • Prepare formal price and delivery quotations for internal review and external customers
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to align estimates with customer and manufacturing requirements
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong ability to interpret bills of material (BOMs), engineering drawings, and process flows
  • Proven analytical skills for evaluating materials, compounds, and cost‑improvement opportunities
  • Experience developing accurate labor, material, and processing cost models
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and with customers
  • Engineering degree preferred but not required; relevant experience may be substituted for formal education
