• Utilize hand grinders, stroke sanders, belt sanders, and other grinding tools and equipment.
• Set up and run timesavers and other types of automatic deburring machines.
• Follow work order procedures and routings; gather required tools and materials based on instructions, drawings, and specifications provided for the job.
• Maintain, organize, and clean equipment and the work area.
• Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Follow Control of Nonconforming Product Procedure.
• Follow procedures in relation to inspection of parts.
• Cross‑train in other areas of the plant as necessary to meet production demands.
• Adhere to all safety rules and guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certificate or degree preferred.
• Thorough understanding of metal finishing tools/equipment.
• Basic understanding of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints.
• Excellent ability to read and understand assignments given in a variety of forms.
• Basic understanding of mathematics.
• Ability to measure parts with edge testers, surface profilometers, calipers, and micrometers.
• Good teamwork skills.
• Ability to pass a grinding assessment.
