About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Specialist who can independently set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC equipment. This individual will serve as a key resource within the department and will play an important role in maintaining productivity, quality, and machine uptime.

The ideal candidate will have extensive CNC experience and be comfortable diagnosing machine issues, making program adjustments, reading blueprints, performing setups, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys solving problems, and can make an immediate impact on our operation. The schedule is Monday-Thursday, 4:15 p.m. to 2:45 a.m. and the pay ranges from $30-$35/hour depending on experience

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery safely and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot machine, tooling, quality, and program-related issues
  • Perform light CNC programming and program modifications as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Verify part quality using measuring and inspection equipment
  • Perform machine adjustments and optimize machine performance
  • Support preventive maintenance efforts and equipment reliability
  • Communicate effectively with production, maintenance, and leadership teams
  • Train and assist other operators as needed
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
Job Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC equipment independently
  • Experience troubleshooting CNC machine issues and identifying root causes
  • Experience making program edits and performing light CNC programming
  • Proficiency using measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with wood-processing CNC equipment
  • Experience mentoring or training operators
  • Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience
  • Advanced CNC programming experience
