American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care teaching hospital in Coon Rapids, MN, requiring at least 2 years of L&D and postpartum experience.
Requirements- Active MN RN license required; pending license accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS and NRP
- Minimum 2 years of L&D experience with postpartum experience required
- Sterile vaginal exam experience required
- Fetal monitoring experience required: external and internal fetal monitoring, IUPC placement and calibration, and recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns
- Experience administering Pitocin (oxytocin) required
- Experience managing and administering epidural anesthesia required
- Epic (Excellian) EMR experience required
- Must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- 1 supervisor reference required for consideration
- Work in the Mother Baby Center of a 258-bed acute care teaching hospital and Level 2 Trauma Center
- RNs rotate between Labor & Delivery and postpartum care
- Average daily census of approximately 8 deliveries per day and 15 postpartum patients per day
- Day and night shifts available on a 3x12 schedule (days: 0700–1930; nights: 1900–0730)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals as needed
- Charting via Epic (Excellian); experience required
- No on-call responsibilities
- No block scheduling available
- Scrubs are provided by the unit
- No parking fees at this facility
- Pre-start online modules are required to be completed before the first day of work
- RTO of no more than 5 days is preferred
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates who were previously permanent staff or per diem employees must have been gone for at least 3 months from their last shift worked to be eligible
- This facility does not provide references to travelers post-assignment
