Job Summary
Join our growing Certified Nurse Midwife team in the Northern suburbs. Our CNMs provide care including pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum period, immediate care of the newborn following birth, family planning and gynecologic needs. They ensure coordination of care for the patient in collaboration with other Perinatal, Neonatal and Birth Center team members.

Job DescriptionPrincipal Responsibilities
- CNM group independently provides labor support, water birth and VBAC/TOLAC services
- Midwifery collaborative support from in‑house OB and maternal‑fetal medicine groups
- Attend approximately 40‑50 births per month with three affiliated clinics
- Provide a natural birth experience emphasizing nontraditional care in the hospital
- Follow standards for Nurse Midwifery Practice established by the American College of Nurse‑Midwives and Minnesota statute
- Maintain professional liability insurance including tail coverage
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree – Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (required)
- Master's degree or doctoral in nursing or related field (preferred)
- Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing (required upon hire)
- BLS Tier 1 – Basic Life Support (required within 180 days of hire)
- AMCB American Midwifery Certification Board (required upon hire)
Medium work – lift up to 32 lbs occasionally (Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy) and up to 25 lbs frequently.
Pay Range$130,000 to $145,000 per year (starting base pay range; full‑time FTE).
