** Position Description
** The Anoka County Parks mission is to positively impact the quality of life in Anoka County by providing parks, outdoor recreation, and leisure services for the public. Our mission encompasses the protection of the natural environment, improving the health of citizens, and supporting a strong local economy. The department has an immediate opening for Seasonal Water Park Maintenance Worker who will perform various duties.

Some of the critical responsibilities of this position include portraying a positive and professional image of the county to the public, specifically Bunker Beach guests, while performing maintenance duties.

This is a seasonal, non-exempt, on-site position. Interviews will take place as applications are received for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.

*** Salary: $14.68 to $17.25 per hour.

** Work Location
*** This position will work at Bunker Beach Water Park, located at 701 County Road A, Coon Rapids, MN 55448.
* Expected work hours may vary and may include weekends and holidays, averaging 20-40 hours per week.
* 100% of the work will be performed at the Bunker Beach facility. Employees are required to work outdoors in all types of weather. Employees are required to wear and maintain a Bunker Beach uniform and be neatly groomed.
** Job Duties and Responsibilities*

** Portray a positive and professional image of the county to the public, specifically Bunker Beach guests, while performing maintenance duties.
* Perform a variety of janitorial, maintenance and lawn care duties while keeping a positive attitude.
* Operation of small equipment including golf carts, lawnmowers/trimmers, power washers, leaf blowers, and small tools.
* Ensure the facility is clean and safe both indoors and outdoors. Safely and responsibly use cleaning supplies throughout the facility.
* Use all safety procedures and safety equipment when performing duties.
* Communicate with the public. Answer questions and assist guests.
** Qualifications and Requirements:
**** Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
*** Must be at least 16 years of age or older by date of application.
* Successfully pass a criminal history background check.
** Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
*** Previous customer service or public relations experience.
* Previous maintenance experience.
* Previous lawn care/landscaping experience.
* Ability to prioritize workloads based on urgency
** Physical Demands and Work Conditions
*** Indoor and outdoor county worksites in all weather conditions depending on assignment.
* Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades and brightness.
* Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds.
* Assignments require several hours of varied physical activity in addition to viewing a computer screen, sitting at a desk, or walking/standing.
* Physical activity may include repeated bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, prolonged walking on sloped or uneven terrain, and handling/carrying equipment.
