Job Summary
Diesel Mechanic Experienced (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). Bonus! Coon Rapids, MN. Direct-Hire Monday-Friday Full Benefits Hourly Rate.
We are currently accepting applications for Mechanics in Coon Rapids, MN.
Compensation- Hourly Pay $31.00-$41.00 per hour, based on experience.
- $7,500 sign‑on bonus, half paid out after 90 days of employment and half after 180 days.
- Overtime paid after 40 hours per week.
- Typical work week is 40-50 hours per week.

- Monday-Friday
- Work 9:00am-6:00pm; work until work is completed. Typically 8-10 hours per day.
- Work schedule may change based on business needs; must be flexible.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform preventative and as‑needed maintenance of diesel trucks and electric vehicles.
- Operate the mobile service truck and attend to truck inventory.
- Interpret and follow work orders and technical manuals.
- Travel to locations to perform on‑site diagnostics, repairs, and routine maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with management, providing detailed breakdowns of service requirements and costs.
- Maintain schedules and document completed preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance; ensure work meets manufacturer specifications according to FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations).
- Maintain parts and yard organization to ensure a clean and safe working environment.
- Minimum 2 years of previous technical experience with Class 8 Commercial Tractors and Trailers.
- Air Brake Systems Certification.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot repairs using diagnostic systems.
- ASE Certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of air, electronic, braking, and suspension systems as well as general mechanical operation and/or light body repair.
- Familiar with FHWA (Federal Highway Administration), FMCSR (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations), and BIT (Basic Inspection of Terminals) inspections.
- High School Diploma or GED (Preferred).
- Must be able to lift 70 pounds.
- Candidate must provide his/her own tools.
