We are seeking an experienced Construction Contracts Manager to support active construction programs on a contingent basis. This role focuses on end-to-end contract lifecycle management, including RFP execution, commercial evaluation, contract administration, and post-award contract management for construction projects. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience supporting fast‑paced capital projects and working closely with project teams, procurement, legal, and external contractors.
Key Responsibilities- Manage RFPs, RFQs, and bid processes for construction services, contingent labor, and professional services
- Develop scopes of work, commercial terms, pricing structures, and evaluation criteria
- Coordinate bidder communications, clarifications, and addenda
- Support proposal evaluations and supplier selection recommendations
- Draft, review, and administer construction contracts, MSAs, SOWs, amendments, and change orders
- Provide post-award contract management including compliance, deliverables, and performance tracking
- Support commercial negotiations, change management, claims, and issue resolution
- Track contracts spend, validate invoices, and support cost controls
- Maintain accurate contract records, logs, and approval documentation
- Identify contractual risks and support mitigation strategies
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of experience in construction contract management, procurement, or commercial management
- Strong understanding of construction contracting models (Lump Sum, GMP, T&M, Unit Price)
- Experience managing RFPs and post-award contracts for construction projects
- Ability to read and interpret construction scopes, schedules, and technical documentation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting large capital programs, infrastructure, or mission‑critical facilities
- Familiarity with staff augmentation and construction labor contracts
- Experience working with legal teams and managing commercial negotiations
- Professional certifications related to contracts, procurement, or construction management
- Strong commercial judgment and risk awareness
- Detail‑oriented with ability to manage multiple active contracts
- Execution‑focused with ability to operate independently in project‑driven environments
- Collaborative partner to project teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
