Join a dedicated oncology team at a freestanding cancer center in a supportive community setting. We are seeking a locum tenens hematology oncology physician to provide quality care for patients with an emphasis on timely diagnoses of new solid tumors. This role involves a flexible schedule with the option of 4- or 5-day work weeks and periodic on-call commitments.

Locum Tenens - Setting:
Outpatient Clinic - Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: 4 or 5 days per week, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, with occasional admin days
- Patient Population:
Primarily Oncology (80%), Hematology (20%) - Location:
Coos Bay, OR - Stipends:
Housing and travel options can be discussed for non-local candidates
- Weekly direct deposit
- Malpractice insurance with tail coverage
- Supportive credentialing assistance
- Lodging and mileage reimbursement (if applicable)
- Flexible scheduling (optional if applicable)
- Act as a member of the clinical patient care team
- Perform tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and advanced practice providers
- Manage a patient load of 10-15 outpatients per day
- Participate in a 1:4 call schedule, including one weekend per month
- Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology
- Active Oregon medical license preferred (willing to accept candidates needing to obtain)
- Clean background with no malpractice preferred
- Strong knowledge of EPIC EMR system
- 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 4 or 5 days per week
- Call duties as per schedule, 1 in 4 rotation including one weekend
- Excellent clinical skills in hematology and oncology
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Effective communication with patients and healthcare colleagues
- Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly EPIC
