Job Description

Join a dedicated oncology team at a freestanding cancer center in a supportive community setting. We are seeking a locum tenens hematology oncology physician to provide quality care for patients with an emphasis on timely diagnoses of new solid tumors. This role involves a flexible schedule with the option of 4- or 5-day work weeks and periodic on-call commitments.

    Primarily Oncology (80%), Hematology (20%)

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as a member of the clinical patient care team
  • Perform tasks and procedures consistent with the training and licensure of a medical oncologist/hematologist
  • Collaborate with radiation oncologists and advanced practice providers
  • Manage a patient load of 10-15 outpatients per day
  • Participate in a 1:4 call schedule, including one weekend per month
Qualifications
  • Board Certified in both Hematology and Oncology
  • Active Oregon medical license preferred (willing to accept candidates needing to obtain)
  • Clean background with no malpractice preferred
  • Strong knowledge of EPIC EMR system
Working Hours
  • 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM, 4 or 5 days per week
  • Call duties as per schedule, 1 in 4 rotation including one weekend
Skills
  • Excellent clinical skills in hematology and oncology
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
  • Effective communication with patients and healthcare colleagues
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, particularly EPIC
