Job Description

A bit about this role:

Devoted Medical, the affiliated multi-disciplinary virtual care partner of Devoted Health, is dedicated to delivering exceptional healthcare by treating every member with the compassion of family. We are seeking a Primary Care Physician to advance our innovative clinical model and expand our reach.

In this role, you will provide high-quality primary care as part of a collaborative interprofessional team. Responsibilities include delivering direct care to your patient panel, supervising Nurse Practitioners, and acting as the clinical escalation point for the practice. You will be supported by advanced AI-enabled technology, a network of clinical and community outreach professionals, and comprehensive Devoted Medical programs — including virtual urgent care, specialty care such as behavioral health, complex care management, and clinical pharmacy services.

This position offers the opportunity to impact patient outcomes at scale in a modern, tech-supported care environment.

Responsibilities and Impact will include:
  • Clinical Care and Team Management:
Deliver primary care within an interdisciplinary team, ensuring effective, patient-centered care. Provide supervision and teaching to a team of Nurse Practitioners, fostering a collaborative and supportive clinical environment. Manage quality oversight and collaborative practice agreements across multiple states.

  • Change Management & Innovation:
Thrive in an entrepreneurial environment with a high capacity for change management and agility. Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance the delivery of primary care services.

  • Lead weekly interdisciplinary rounds (3 hours/week) and readmission conferences to review high-risk patients

  • Champion a patient-centered and open clinical culture, fostering trust and empowerment within the team.

  • Advocate for primary care equity and accessibility within the organization and community.

  • Provide feedback to improve clinical tools and systems.

Attributes to success:
  • Servant Leadership:
Recognize that everyone's success is your success. Enable your team to be empowered to do their best work possible and trust your guidance and assistance.

  • Clinical Excellence:
Strong background in primary care with a passion for delivering high-quality patient care.

  • Virtual Care

    Experience:

Experience with virtual primary care is a plus, but not essential. However, the ability to adapt to and lead in a dynamic, technology-driven healthcare environment is crucial.

  • Growth Potential:
Demonstrate extraordinarily high growth potential, with the ability to grow into a leadership role within the program.

  • Adaptability & Agility:
Wired for learning and change, comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.

  • Passion for Improvement:
Passionate about making healthcare better, solving complex problems, and supporting the delivery of healthcare that we would want for our own family members.

Required skills and experience:
  • A board-certified Primary Care Physician with at least three years of clinical experience.

  • Experience supervising Nurse Practitioners or other healthcare professionals. Prior experience running a clinic or a clinical program is highly desired.

Desired skills and experience:
  • Proven ability to manage change and drive innovation in a dynamic healthcare environment.

  • Experience with virtual primary care is a plus but not required.

  • Experience serving diverse patient populations, with a focus on delivering care that aligns with our mission. You believe deeply in measuring and improving the quality of primary care delivery across a population.
