Overview
This immediate-start position provides a unique chance to work in a dynamic outpatient setting specializing in hematology and oncology. As a vital member of the clinical care team, you will deliver high-quality treatment to patients with solid tumor diagnoses, perform procedures aligned with your training, and contribute to comprehensive cancer care. The role is ideal for physicians seeking a flexible schedule with ongoing engagement, ensuring continuity of patient care with a reliable team of APPs and specialists.
Required Skills
- Medical degree and successful completion of residency in Hematology and Oncology
- Valid medical license in Oregon
- Proven experience in outpatient oncology and hematology care
- Proficiency with EPIC EMR system
- Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle a fast-paced outpatient environment efficiently
- Experience with inpatient chemotherapy management
- Prior work in a cancer center or outpatient clinic
- Familiarity with radiation oncology workflows
- Bilingual abilities to serve diverse patient populations
Education and Experience
- Board certification in Hematology and Oncology
- Minimum of 2+ years practicing in a cancer care setting
- Prior locum or temporary staffing experience preferred but not required
- Availability to start by March 1, 2026
- Willingness to work 4-5 days per week, 8:30 am–4:30 pm, including 1 weekend every 4 weeks
- Participation in a 6-8 week credentialing process
- Must complete 4 hours of unpaid EPIC EMR training
- Ability to manage on-call duties (1:4 rotation, including weekends and evenings)
- Travel, licensure, and certification reimbursements applicable where needed
- Lodging arrangements provided
