POSITION

DESCRIPTION:

Coos Bay School District is currently accepting applications for classified work on a substitute/on-call basis at various buildings throughout the District. Specific duties will depend on area of vacancy. Examples of classified work include, but are not limited to:

• Clerical/Secretarial
• Educational Assistant- K-12
• Educational Assistants
  - Little Pirates Preschool
• Library Clerk
• Custodial

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to work with and lead students in group and individual activities.
• Instructional and behavioral management skills.
• Ability to use current office technology and equipment.
• Ability to be professional, dependable, and self-motivated.
• Have a student-centered focus. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families and staff from a variety of diverse backgrounds.
• Must be flexible and willing to report to different schools depending on need.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must pass criminal background check.
• Completion of required Vector training.
• Must successfully pass preemployment drug screening (screening does not include substances considered legal in the State of Oregon)
