The primary purpose of this position is to instruct and supervise nursing students in clinical and/or lab settings, and student evaluations.

Required Qualifications- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in Oregon
- Minimum of two (2) years demonstrated clinical experience
- Mastery of the subject area sufficient to instruct students in the clinical setting and evaluate performance.
- Knowledge of and ability to learn teaching methods and clinical skills appropriate for a variety of ages, backgrounds, learning abilities and styles.
- Knowledge of computers and ability to integrate appropriate technologies into the nursing curriculum.
- Ability to use instructional delivery methods that enhance broad public access to post‑secondary education.
- Ability to evaluate student progress empirically and holistically and to develop curriculum materials for individuals and classes.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Effective oral and written communication in English at various language levels, with simplification and demonstration.
- Adult‑oriented instructional delivery methods.
- Cooperative teamwork with department members and college community in meetings and projects.
- Ability to review, understand and apply concepts from training programs, conferences and professional literature.
- Willingness to teach at various hours as required.
- Related teaching experience at the college level or equivalent.
- Related clinical experience in an acute care facility.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal history check.
- Willingness to abide by agency requests for health clearance, including drug test and immunizations.
- Eligibility for approval as a clinical instructor by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
