Job DescriptionThe Preschool Promise Program, Little Pirates Preschool, is a high-quality, publicly funded preschool program that serves children age four (4) in families living at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level, children in foster care and children from other historically underserved populations.
As a Preschool Teacher, you will ensure, support, and promote each child’s learning, wellbeing, and development in cooperation with parents and other early childhood professionals in accordance with Oregon Early Learning standards, USDA guidelines, and licensed childcare rules and regulations.
You will complete developmental screenings and follow‑ups, and plan and provide a developmentally and culturally appropriate classroom experience that meets the needs of all children and families.
You will promote parent involvement by providing tools and supports to parents as the primary educators of their child, planning and scheduling home visits and parent/teacher conferences, and engaging parents in their child’s learning as appropriate.

Qualifications- Minimum bachelor’s degree in Education
- Valid Oregon Teaching Certificate
- Early Learning Endorsement/Certificate (Preferred)
- 3–5 years of early childhood teaching experience using developmentally appropriate practices (Preferred)
