- Provide engineering support for Military Sealift Command (MSC) on various transportation alteration (TRANSALT) work and packages
- Review and analyze design documentation of shipboard electrical and control systems to evaluate their compliance with safety practices
- Perform engineering systems and control systems feasibility studies for selection of electrical components
- Collaborate with QA teams to generate final electrical technical products, including AutoCAD drawings and reports
- Conduct site visits and ship checks at Navy and commercial shipyards to ensure compliance with engineering requirements
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance
- BS Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field, or equivalent military training
- 3-7 years of experience in US Naval Ship Engineering or similar electrical power systems experience
- Proficient in designing electrical drawings and creating bills of materials using AutoCAD
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to address complex technical issues
- Experience with MSC TRANSALT, including ship checks and package development
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD, NAVISWORKS, and SKM Power Tools
- Familiarity with Machinery Control Systems and PLC/HMI/Automation/Controls
- Participation in professional organizations such as IEEE or SNAME
- Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, including macros and VBA
