Linux Senior Engineer

Stefanini Group is seeking to welcome a skilled and experienced Senior Linux Engineer with a strong background in Dev Ops to our Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure cluster within the Infrastructure Services Division.

In this position, the selected candidate will engage in an on-call rotation to provide escalation support for technical issues, ensuring the seamless operation of our 24x7 production infrastructure environment.

This role is dedicated exclusively to one client, allowing for an in-depth focus on their unique requirements and objectives.

• Lead on projects and operations.
• Execute complex activities on the projects.
• Configuration and Automation strategy design.
• Build observability strategy (monitoring) and follow target KPIs.
• Deliver trainings internally, in company level or to Stefanini customers.
• Execute operational activities based on requests, changes and incidents.
• Support for RCA, problem investigation and changes execution.
• Write KBA's, Work Instructions.
• Collaborate and deliver continuous improvement processes.
• Daily Administration, documentation and operation of physical and virtual server infrastructure environments.
• Assist in integration and documentation of new applications and technologies.
• Become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with new technologies as needed.

• 5+ years of practical, hands‑on experience in enterprise IT infrastructure.
• Senior Level with the following technologies:
  • In-depth understanding of Linux Systems, with strong troubleshooting skills (primarily on Red Hat 7/8/9, Amazon Linux, CentOS and Ubuntu).
  • Experience with Ansible or Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), with the ability to write complex Ansible playbooks.
  • Strong scripting experience for automating daily tasks using Bash, Terraform, YAML, or Python.
  • Experience with Red Hat Satellite for managing Linux servers, including administering the master satellite server and capsule server infrastructure.
  • Solid understanding of file transfer protocols, including SFTP, FTP, FTPS, SCP, CIFS, SMB, and NFS.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or VMware Cloud (VMC).
  • Familiarity with web technologies such as HTTPD, Tomcat, and NGINX.
  • Hands‑on experience with code management tools (Git, Git Lab, or Git Hub).
  • Some experience with AWS services (EC2, EBS, S3, Cloud Watch, Cloud Trail, IAM).
  • Experience with ticketing and documentation systems, such as Service Now, Jira, and Confluence.
• Added Advantage:
  • Docker/Container experience.
  • Morpheus Hybrid Cloud.
  • Tanium Endpoint Management.
  • Familiarity with database technologies such as Oracle, Postgre
    
    SQL, and MySQL.
• Compatible certifications:
• LPIC-2 Senior Level Linux Certification.
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).
• Red Hat Certified JBoss Administration (RHJCA).
• VMware Certified Professional - VCP.
• VCTA Certification Level or comparable.
• Net App Certified Data Administrator, ONTAP level.
• Cisco Certified Technician Data Center (CCTDC) level.

• Availability for on-call rotation.
• Experience leading project teams and mentoring staff.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships.
