As the Platform Regulatory Assurance Manager, you will be the primary architect and executor of our internal assurance program for global platform regulations. Reporting to the Director of Business Risk within the Internal Audit team, you will play a pivotal role in providing independent monitoring and assurance for global platform regulations. You will be responsible for advising on the design, documenting, and testing robust internal controls while serving as the strategic "white glove" liaison for external regulatory assessments.
Your mission is to provide high-touch support across the organization, ensuring that complex legislative requirements are translated into seamless, audit-ready operational realities.
- Design and implement scalable assurance frameworks designed to satisfy the most rigorous standards of global regulatory scrutiny.
- Translate abstract legislative requirements into concrete, defensible processes and controls that withstand intensive regulator examination.
- Act as a dedicated advisor to cross-functional partners, providing "white glove" education and support to ensure stakeholders deeply understand regulatory requirements and control expectations and trends in regulatory expectations.
- Proactively identify gaps in platform risk management and partner with Legal, Trust & Safety Policy, Engineering, Privacy, and Product teams to develop and oversee strategic remediation plans.
- Serve as the primary point of contact and lead facilitator for mandatory external audits and third-party assessments required by global regulators.
- Monitor the evolving landscape of internet regulations to ensure our global assurance framework remains robust and future-proof.
- Leverage advanced audit techniques and evangelize a "common-controls" approach to maximize risk coverage and compliance efficiency.
- An experienced professional with 5+ years in Internal Audit, Regulatory Compliance, or Risk Management, specifically within the tech or online platform industry.
- A subject matter expert with experience supporting internal advisory and assurance work streams for platform regulations such as the EU Digital Services Act and the UK Online Safety Act.
- A collaborative leader and proactive problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments and is comfortable navigating ambiguity.
- A clear and persuasive communicator capable of distilling complex regulatory mandates into digestible, actionable guidance for diverse business functions.
- Professional certifications such as CIA, CISA or CIPP/E are preferred.
- Knowledge of global privacy and internet-related regulations (e.g., UK OSA, EU DSA, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA) and their operational impact on platform technology.
- Solid grasp of platform governance concepts and the ability to translate business objectives into technical compliance solutions.
- Strong project management skills with a proven ability to oversee large-scale, multi-month audit cycles involving global stakeholders.
- A "first-principles" thinker with the ability to build frameworks for emerging laws where no established industry blueprint yet exists.
- Proven ability to use data and critical thinking to validate control effectiveness and generate insights that solve complex business problems.
