This Position reports to:
Operations Finance Manager

As the Project Controller, you will have the opportunity to drive all financial activities within multiple small‑scale projects or a single large project. Each day, you will act as a business partner to the Project Management team, supporting all financial and commercial matters. You will also showcase your expertise by actively driving the project’s performance.

While preference is for candidates to be located in the Richmond, VA area, we are also open to candidates being fully remote in the United States.

This role is contributing to Critical Power group in the United States.

• Providing input to negotiations on commercial issues, during local risk review process, and on the financial aspects of the project execution plan.
• Establishing & supporting processes for Project Review and related activities.
• Driving and seeking optimization of project cash flow, revenues, and gross‑margin contribution and effectively managing currency risk, bonds, guarantees, and tax issues.
• Ensuring the accuracy of project balance sheet, income and cash flow statements, and monthly/quarterly forecast and participating in opportunity/risk identification, monitoring risk mitigation measures, and ensuring they are timely implemented.

Our team dynamics as part of the Finance team covering Sales, Resale, Production, Service, and Projects. This is a dynamic team environment!

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or similar required.
• 5+ years experience in Finance & Accounting, preferably in a project‑based business with a manufactured product and Service.
• Possess an enhanced knowledge of SAP Project Systems module, RA Keys and Revenue Recognition methods.
• You enjoy working in a dynamic, high‑growth, challenging environment.
• You are at ease communicating in English.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
