What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Develop and maintain grant reports for assigned faculty, including managing budgets and compliance
  • Process grant budgets and provide financial analysis, variance analysis, and reports for grants
  • Monitor grant spending to ensure alignment with proposed scientific aims and budgets
  • Collaborate with various departments to resolve budgeting and invoicing issues
  • Prepare financial statements and projections while ensuring compliance with grant policies
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressively responsible relevant work experience
  • Experience in an Academic Health Center or similar financial analysis roles
  • Highly proficient in PC use, including database and spreadsheet applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for consulting with internal and external stakeholders
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Completion of OHSU Essentials of Grant Administration certificate
  • 3 years’ experience with post-award sponsored projects financial analysis, particularly with NIH grants
  • Administrative experience with NIH comprehensive center grants and National Research Service Awards
  • 1 year of post-award experience at OHSU
  • Proficiency in utilizing ORACLE, Cognos, and advanced Excel skills
