We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager, Global Trade, who will manage export/import licensing and compliance activities within Raytheon’s Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) business. This position will be expected to provide strategic oversight, guidance, leadership, and management of teams and programs within the LADS portfolio in connection with all facets of export/import authorizations activities including under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR), respectively.
You will be responsible for contributing to key global trade compliance infrastructure elements including people, processes/procedures, automated solutions/tools, training, and metrics as well as collaborating closely with functional groups across the organization and championing compliant business practices in the intricate landscape of export and import regulations.
What You Will Do- Serve as Empowered Official.
- Supervise a team of Global Trade professionals, providing support, guidance, and career growth/development.
- Develop licensing plans and provide guidance for complex licensing strategy and program planning.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ITAR and EAR Export Authorizations requirements, drafting, preparing, submitting, tracking, obtaining and managing from the U.S. government, all necessary export and import licenses, permits, and certifications – to include Technical Assistance Agreements (TAA), Manufacturing License Agreements (MLAs) and other export license authorization types.
- Work closely with internal customers to develop export and import approvals that allow for the efficient export of technology, technical data, hardware, and services.
- Ensure review of the scope of the effort with the applicable functions, stakeholders and the foreign parties prior to submittal.
- Obtain signed agreements and other required documentations from foreign parties (e.g., DSP-83s, ITAR NDAs, etc.) as applicable.
- Provide status updates to the programs/stakeholders for awareness.
- Review approvals to ensure execution and deliverables are considered.
- Manage day-to-day execution of agreements and licenses, ensuring compliance for all activities under the agreements and licenses.
- Monitor authorizations for any changes effecting the authorizations and taking action upon knowledge of the change.
- Assure regulatory compliance through review and approval of foreign travel, foreign visits and export and import transactions.
- Provide day-to-day guidance, training and support to program personnel on export licensing and compliance needs (e.g., releasability, etc.). Interpret and explain export compliance requirements such as license/TAA provisos, export regulations, and Raytheon export policies and procedures.
- Contribute to learning and audit assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
- Assist in identifying and reporting of compliance concerns and identifying errors/areas requiring improvement and implementing corrective actions to resolve problems.
