MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT. As a Senior Policy Advisor, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. You will play a crucial role in providing Medicare and Medicaid policy insight, advising on the impact of policy and payment changes on access to care and health outcomes, and supporting complex Medicare payment policy analysis.
- Lead senior policy discussions and engage CMS stakeholders through policy consultation and thought leadership
- Contribute insight to high impact research projects and data analysis initiatives
- Advise on data findings, written reports and briefings, and impact analyses
Education:
Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science (Masters preferred)
Required experience:
- 20+ years of Medicare & Medicaid program experience
- 20 years of Medicare & Medicaid policy analysis
- 10 years payment policy analysis
- Applied understanding of health services and outcomes research, Medicare and Medicaid payment policy, and senior stakeholder engagement
- CMS program and operational expertise.

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $170.00 - $230.00. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

GDIT typically provides new employees with 15 days of paid leave per calendar year to be used for vacations, personal business, and illness and an additional 10 paid holidays per year. Paid leave and paid holidays are prorated based on the employee’s date of hire. The GDIT Paid Family Leave program provides a total of up to 160 hours of paid leave in a rolling 12 month period for eligible employees.
