Certified Pharmacy Technician

Location:

Reedsport, Bandon, Coquille, Myrtle Point and North Bend, near Bay Area Hospital.

Relocation Offered

$20.00/hr - $32.00/hr

Under supervision of a pharmacist, fills unit dose orders and maintains records of patient's use as well as more complex duties as provided by certification.

• Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position.
• Demonstrates the ability to operate applicable office equipment.
• Exhibits the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public.
• Exhibits the ability to maintain confidentiality, think and act independently with minimal supervision.

• Valid Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (High School Diploma or Equivalent required for license)
• American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Certification from Institute for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians National Technician (ICPT), Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or Pharmacy Technician Certification (ExCPT)
• Completion of medical terminology course or experience in related medical position preferred.

• 1-2 years hospital Pharmacy Tech experience.
• IV compound training and hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

• BLS (AHA)
