Build something people love
Wealthsimple is on a mission to help everyone achieve financial freedom by reimagining what it means to manage your money. Using smart technology, we take financial services that are often confusing and expensive and make them transparent and low-cost for everyone. We’re the largest fintech company in Canada, with 3+ million users who trust us with more than $100 billion in assets.
And we’re just getting started.
We’re looking for someone who thinks big, sweats the small stuff and keeps things simple. You’ll join a high-bar, fast-paced team where people are trusted to own their work, communicate openly, and ship things that improve our clients’ lives. Collaboration, humility, and an obsession over quality are how we get stuff done.
About the roleThe leaders we hire shape everything — our products, our culture, and what Wealthsimple becomes next. This role exists to make sure we find the right ones.
As an executive talent acquisition partner, you'll own director, VP, and C-level hiring end to end. That means partnering directly with senior leadership to define what great looks like for each role, then going out and finding people who exceed it. You'll build relationships with exceptional leaders long before there's an open role, bring sharp market perspective to every search, and have the judgment and credibility to influence how we think about leadership talent.
This isn't a reactive recruiting role. You're always mapping the market, cultivating relationships, and thinking a few moves ahead. You balance discretion with momentum and operate with the long game in mind.
We’re not just looking for someone to fill executive roles — we’re looking for someone who helps define the future leadership of the company. Someone who is always mapping the market, cultivating relationships long before there’s a requisition, and bringing bold, unexpected, high-caliber leaders into the conversation.
You know how to operate in rooms where stakes are high and talent density matters. You’re equal parts researcher, relationship builder, and strategic advisor. You don’t wait for the perfect candidate to appear — you find them, engage them thoughtfully, and build conviction on both sides.
As an Executive Talent Acquisition Partner, you’ll partner directly with senior leadership to shape Director, VP, and C-level hiring. You bring a sharp market perspective, strong judgment, and the credibility to influence how we think about leadership talent. You balance discretion with momentum and operate with the long game in mind.
Most importantly, you understand our values and what it means to be a Wealth simpler.
This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, operates with polish and persistence, and is energized by the challenge of landing transformative talent. If you’re someone who sees patterns in the market, builds trust at the highest levels, and raises the bar every time, you’ll fit right in.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to:- Own executive and senior leadership searches end-to-end, from market mapping through close, with a focus on quality, alignment, and long-term impact.
- Own offer strategy and executive-level closing with nuance, discretion, and strong negotiation skills.
- Build “always-on” executive talent pipelines; engage moonshot and passive leaders before we need them.
- Craft thoughtful outreach and engagement strategies that resonate with executives, not just job seekers.
- Act as a steward of leadership talent for Wealthsimple, balancing immediate hiring needs with long-term relationship building.
- Build strong relationships to understand future product builds to help facilitate hiring ahead of the need.
- Partner directly with senior leaders to shape role scopes, success profiles, and long-term talent strategy, not just job descriptions.
- Operate as a trusted advisor in executive hiring conversations, influencing hiring decisions with data, pattern recognition, and judgment.
- Lead complex stakeholder alignment, navigating ambiguity, differing opinions, and evolving business needs.
