Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop, and grow a team of high-performing technical writers
  • Manage documentation templates, organization, security processes, and archiving to ensure compliance with corporate quality standards
  • Track documentation work to meet milestone dates and internal or external deliverables
  • Evaluate business cases for external documentation and develop a strategy to support it
  • Define and execute technical writing mechanisms, including intake, prioritization, execution, and reporting processes
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication, Business Administration, Technical Writing, or a business-related discipline
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • 6+ years of experience in technical writing and documentation in a software development environment
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and manage high-performing teams
  • Strong understanding of software development processes, APIs, and modern documentation tools (e.g. Markdown, Git Hub, Confluence)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project management within a software development or engineering context
  • Experience in a product development organization
  • Keen attention to detail to identify problems and processes that do not comply with protocol or standards
  • MBA or Master’s degree in English, Communication, Business Administration, Technical Writing, or other business-related discipline
  • Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) both in-person and remote
