We are specifically seeking experienced data center engineers who are open to relocation for a long-term opportunity supporting a new, large-scale AI data center build for Dell
.

Unisys is seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer (OSE) to support enterprise data center and server environments, including next-generation AI platforms. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role focused on maintaining uptime, resolving complex hardware issues, and helping establish operational standards at a newly built data center site
.
Important: Senior engineers are required first to support site stand-up, stability, and mentorship. Engineers hired in this phase will play a foundational role in long-term operations.
Prior AI experience is not required—strong data center and server fundamentals are what matter most.
What You’ll Do- Provide onsite support for Dell server and data center systems, ensuring rapid issue resolution and minimal downtime
- Perform hardware maintenance including server builds, swaps, component replacements, and firmware updates
- Troubleshoot issues across hardware, firmware, and operating systems
- Support reactive and preventive maintenance following established procedures
- Partner with customers and internal teams during service events
- Document work performed and contribute to shared knowledge
- Participate in on-call rotations and extended coverage as required
- Experience supporting servers or data center hardware in enterprise or customer-facing environments
- Hands-on expertise with server components (CPU, memory, power supplies, GPUs, full server swaps)
- Ability to work independently onsite in a production data center
- Strong troubleshooting and customer communication skills
- Willingness to support emerging technologies, including AI platforms
- Openness to relocation to Childress, TX (required)
- 3+ years of experience in data center, field service, or enterprise hardware support roles
- New build, expansion, or site stand-up experience strongly preferred
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience
- Dell or other OEM certifications a plus (not required)
