- Execute SQL performance testing across new hardware and software releases
- Identify, analyze, and document performance regressions
- Conduct performance diagnostics using SQL tools and system metrics
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues
- Author technical documentation related to test plans, diagnostics, and findings
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field
- 0–2 years of professional experience in software or database engineering
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, operating systems concepts)
- Exposure to SQL performance testing, query optimization, or database diagnostics
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Exposure to performance benchmarking tools or regression detection methodologies
- Understanding of database engine internals and query execution plans
- Experience analyzing system performance metrics (CPU, memory, I/O)
- Prior experience collaborating with cross‑functional engineering teams
- Advanced degree (MBA or related technical master’s degree)
