Job Overview

The Logistician IV integrates the spectrum of the logistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesale environments. Logisticians are responsible for directing the integrated logistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, and providing implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implements directives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped.

It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate and manage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weapon systems, subsystems and equipment.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties &

Job Functions:

  • Lead lifecycle sustainment and logistics planning activities for SCAMPI systems in accordance with DoD and USSOCOM requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute Logistics Support Plans (LSP), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) strategies, and sustainment documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for equipment issue resolution, coordinating with Government logistics managers, OEMs, and support teams.
  • Oversee configuration management baselines, warranty tracking, spares planning, and inventory control activities.
  • Manage disposal of excess Government property through DLA and ensure compliance with property accountability regulations.
  • Provide senior-level analysis and recommendations for spares provisioning, lifecycle cost optimization, and sustainment improvements.
  • Support configuration audits, CCBs, and logistics-related reviews.
  • Performs other related work as assigned.
Job Requirements

Mandatory:

  • Master’s Degree.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years’ professional experience in integrated logistics support.
  • Proficient with integrated logistics systems and contract cost monitoring tools such as eCRAFT.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
  • Current active Secret Security Clearance.
  • Valid state Driver’s License with acceptable driving record pertinent to the position.
  • Ability to successfully pass any background checks and/or drug testing required on the contract.
  • U.S. Citizenship.

Preferred:

  • Logistics DAWIA Level 3 certified or equivalent.

  • Position may be exposed to and is expected to protect internal/external confidential/unclassified information.
Physical Requirements
  • This job may involve walking, standing, bending, reaching, and handling items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Work requires the ability to operate a computer and work in a standard office environment, effectively communicate information in verbal and written form, read and review information and charts, perform analytical thinking skills, use sound judgement.
